Visit to Kedreai (Sedir Island)

Mr. Orhan Tavlı, the Governor of Muğla Province, Mr. Won Ik Lee, Ambassador of South Korea, Prof. Dr. Mr. Turhan Kaçar, Rector of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Mr. Baha Başçelik, District Governor of Ula visit Kedreai (Sedir Island).

Mr. Orhan Tavlı, the Governor of Muğla Province, Mr. Baha Başçelik, District Governor of Ula, Mr. Özay Türkler, Ula Mayor, Miss. Gülnur Çekmeceli, Muğla Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board Director, Mr. Tayyar Şaşmaz, Muğla Foundation General Manager/Trustee visited the Kedreai (Sedir Island) Excavation on 01.09.2022. They received information about the excavation from Mrs. Gülnaz SAVRAN, Muğla Museum Director, and Prof. Dr. Mr. Adnan DİLER, responsible for the Kedreai (Sedir Island) Excavation research.

UNESCO Awareness and Capacity Building Training

The valuable participants of the "UNESCO Awareness and Capacity Building Training" organized a field study training in Kedreai (Sedir Island) implemented with the technical support of GEKA, within the scope of the "Muğlapark UNESCO Project", and carried out by the Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In this context, the participants were informed about the ancient city of Kedreai and current excavations.

First Aid Training

The first aid training was given to Kedreai Excavation Team on 13.09.2022 by Nurse Göktuğ Babayiğit from Ula Public Education Center. Participants were informed about first aid basic applications, evaluation of the patient or injured, basic life support (artificial respiration-chest pressure-OED training), bleeding, heat balance disorders, injuries, unconsciousness, fractures-dislocations and sprains, poisoning, insect stings and animal bites, foreign body ingestion and penetration, stinging, and transporting the sick or injured.

‘Extreme Conditions and Architecture’

Muğla Branch of the Chamber of Architects and the Dodecanese Branch of the Greek Technical Chamber have been working together since 2008. This year's fifteenth international event, has taken place in Marmaris.  They visited Kedreai (Sedir Island) on 23.10.2022 as part of the technical tour/trip activity, to receive information about the excavation from Prof. Dr. Adnan Diler, scientific responsible for the Kedreai (Sedir Island) Excavation.
